I am a husband, a father to 4 boys, love baseball, and Lawn Enthusiast.

Born and raised in NW Iowa, I now call SE Virginia along the Chesapeake Bay home. My first 18 years were spent on a typical Iowa farm, surrounded by various livestock and farming. It's funny how you only truly appreciate those earlier experiences when they become the solutions to today's challenges. Growing up, my father was a soil consultant, and I'd walk endless miles with him, taking soil samples across acres of farmland. Now, I've translated that knowledge into personal lawn care. I've discovered that turfgrass requires the same care and attention as the crops to thrive and endure.

Having tended to my lawn for nearly five years, I've applied the lessons from those early days of education directly to my turf. I've stumbled, learned from mistakes, and grown along the way.
